Benefit Dance
Mark your calendars! On Saturday, April 19th at 7:00 pm, we will host a benefit dance in the Family Life Center. The theme for this dance is the Habitat worksite so “Habitat worksite” casual is completely appropriate. How comfortable and laidback can you get? But, don’t forget that this is important stuff. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to our project and Our Towns Habitat for Humanity. So, plan to be there and plan to invite all your friends. We’re going to have a great time!
This event is for ages 15 and up. This range of ages is the range that will be eligible to participate in a Habitat Build that starts in 2009. So, it’s time to get everyone involved in the work and in the fun. We’ll have to have a wide range of music to please this wide range of ages and tastes. In perfect synergy, the music will be provided by DJ Jim Wilke, the brother of Jeff Wilke. We’re talking about beach and boogie, soul and great rock n roll, country and swing. If you have a specific song request, just send me an email at arrhyno@alltel.net.
Tickets will be $10 in advance and $12 at the door. There will be a limited number of tickets sold so get yours early! You can get them in the office. You can ask anyone on our Habitat Team. Watch for sales in the Narthex and FLC foyer. And, you can call the office at 704-664-5474 ext 203 and reserve them for pickup on the 19th at the “Will Call” desk.
Hors doeurves and soft drinks will be provided. Also, check back here for late-breaking information. We hope to have announcements about babysitting and additional entertainment.
Please join us for the fun. And, invite your friends to come, too. We’re gonna have a real good time!
