COMMUNITY MINISTRY COMMITTEE WILL MEET ON JANUARY 3, 2024 AT 6:30 IN CONFERENCE ROOM. WE WILL BE DISCUSSING THE PROJECTS WE WOULD LIKE TO TACKLE IN 2024. IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN HELPING OUR COMMUNITY, PLEASE COME TO OUR JANUARY MEETING.

January's Food For Days ministry item of the month: Chewy Granola Bars

Thanks to everyone who made it possible to give a $50 Food Lion Gift Card to 35 in-need children at Park View School. 40 children each got hat, gloves and scarf this year plus a donated book. Our hope is that we have made 40 children’s Christmas a little brighter.

ANGEL TREE: We know this year was a change in tradition by not receiving our Angels directly from South Elementary but you all got behind the new process of Mooresville Christian Mission. We had 150 Angels on the tree and they were all taken and returned. Thanks to everyone. We will have additional information on the Angels from Christian Mission in the next Marker.

White Tissue Paper Gifts: A thank you to everyone who brought white tissue paper gift for our Christmas Eve Offertory. We collected many food items for Food for Days and Mooresville Christian Missions.

VALENTINE CARDS FOR PARK VIEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL:
Yes, we know it is early to think of Valentines Day, but in order to provide them to our local school children we need to start now. Starting Sunday, January 14, we will have a box in the Narthex and the Church Office hallway. Your valentines can be for either boy or girl between ages of 5 through 7. We would like approximately 30 boxes of Valentines. The last day for this project will be February 5th.
Thank you for bringing a smile to a little child’s face. Many thanks for your love of children in our community!

FOOD FOR DAYS: Community Ministry depends on the caring hearts of our congregation to support FOOD FOR DAYS MINISTRY. We are half way through the school year and we still need to support half of our 40 students at Park View. The cost of a child is $250.00 per school year. Please pray on this and give ANY AMOUNT YOUR HEART DICTATES. Just enclose a check in a pew envelope marked for FFD Backpack Ministry. Thanks so much.
